Town Camp Community Housing Officer (CHO)
The Town Camp Community Housing Officers play a vital role working with a dynamic team to provide tenancy management services to help ensure sustainable tenancies on the Town Camps of Alice Springs.
The aim of the CHO is to support tenants to sustain their tenancy by complying with their core responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), whilst ensuring CHCA fulfils its obligations as tenancy manager.
The CHO role is dynamic and involves a broad mix of work, such as face to face contact with residents, administrative and reporting activities in office, and building and maintaining relationships with tenants and stakeholders. The role is managed and supported by the Town Camp Program Manager.

Tenancy Support Officer
The Tenancy Support Officer has an important role providing direct tenancy sustainment support for participants in the programs. The role has a range of diverse responsibilities ranging across tenancy support and mentoring, case coordination and advocacy and working with stakeholders.
The Tenancy Support Officer will report directly to the Co-Ordinator Community Housing Projects and work alongside the Community Housing Officers (CHO’s) who are responsible for the program’s tenancy and property management roles along with reporting of program outcomes.
The Program is currently funded until June 2025. However, with other management tenders and the likelihood of existing programs being extended, the position of a Tenancy Support Officer is being offered as a permanent position.

Community Housing Officer (CHO)
The Community Housing Officers (CHO) have an important role acting as the ‘face of CHCA’ by providing direct housing management service to urban housing residents as part of the Community Housing Team and/or to the residents of the 16 Town Camps for which we provide tenancy services.
The aim of the CHO is to support tenants to sustain their tenancy by complying with their core responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), whilst ensuring CHCA fulfils its obligations as a landlord.
The CHO role is dynamic and involves a broad mix of work, such as face to face contact with residents, administrative and reporting activities in office, and building and maintaining relationships with tenants and stakeholders. The role is managed and supported by the Community Housing Coordinator.
