BOARD AND EXECUTIVE
Community Housing has an experienced skills based Board of Directors. As the Founding Member, Tangentyere Council’s Executive Committee (made up by the 16 Town Camp Presidents) appoint five Directors to the board, with remaining Directors elected at the AGM. David Avery
Chairperson
David has been practising as a Barrister and Solicitor since 1971 in the Northern Territory.
Maxine Carlton
Director
Maxine has worked within the legal system for 18+ years as both an interpreter and a client services/field officer while working at the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service (CAALAS).
Barb McKenna
Director
Barb brings 35 years of experience in social housing in both government and not for profit sectors.
Patrick McDonald
Director
He has spent the last 15 years working for Tangentyere Council in senior positions including two years as Chief Financial Officer and four years as Chief Operating Officer.
Roz Marden
Director
Roz has qualifications in Education and Business Systems Design and Management.
David Donald
Director
David is currently the Program Manager for Healthabitat overseas, managing housing, water and sanitation projects in Nepal and South Africa.
Eileen Hoosan
Director
Eileen is a Traditional Owner of Uluru Traditional Owners Association, Yankunytjatjara Kutu.
Peter Marin
Director
Peter is currently a Director of MLCS and Independent Director for a number of Aboriginal Corporations.
Frances Paterson-Fleider
Chief Executive Officer
Frances brings to CHCA an exceptional depth of experience as a senior executive in the social housing industry.
Andy Denniss
Chief Operations Officer
Andy has a social housing career dating back to 1994 in the UK and since 2009 in Australia.
Terry Furphy
Chief Financial and Corporate Services Manager
Terry joined CHCA in October 2022 with the following qualifications: Bachelor of Accountancy, Chartered Accountant and Master of Business Administration (Finance).
Karen Bozier
Service Improvement and Innovation Manager
Karen brings a wealth of knowledge, having 22 years of experience in Homelessness and Housing Service delivery, development and management of multiple programs.
Clive Rosewarne
Strategic Project Manager
Clive has over 35 years’ experience in community development programs, strategic planning and community driven research, including 25 ears working with Aboriginal community-controlled education, health and housing organisations in central Australia.
